MACRODACTYLY OF THE FOOT WITH LIPOMA

Abstract

|
rodactyly refers to a rare congential malformation characterized by an increase in the size of all the elements or structures of a digit or digits.
This rare condition is usually noted at the time of birth or shortly after birth, and may constitute a severe physical and psychological handicap during growth. So treatment should be started early in childhood.
Authors report of a case of the macrodactyly of the left foot with lipoma. We treated it by destruction of the left 3rd, 4th and 5th distal phalangeal epiphysis and resection of the bulky fat tissues.
